As a collaborative theatre-maker, I have authored or co-authored the scripts for many staged productions. These include I Confess, Manifesting Destiny, Superjohn, Hellscreen, The Museum of Our Forgotten Selves, The Journey, Stella, and The Alchemist.
The cross-disciplinary nature of my practice has also forged interesting relationships that have application in a number of fields. One way in which these relationships are being developed are through collaborative writing projects.
Following an invitation from Dr. Michelle LeBaron to participate in an interdisciplinary conference on Dance and Conflict Resolution at the European Graduate School in Saas Fee Switzerland, I have co-authored a chapter entitled Choreography of Negotiation in the recently published book “Choreograpy of Resolution: Conflict, Movement and Neuroscience” (American Bar Association). Following from this, I developed a rich working partnership with another participant, Chris Honeyman, a conflict management specialist. This collaboration has spread to a variety of others involved in a large-scale international academic project known as Rethinking Negotiation Teaching. As one result I am now a co-author of two further book chapters in “Educating Negotiators for a Connected World” (Hamline University Press) that integrate my theater experience with the conflict management field. This led to a five year collaboration with the New York Police Department’s Hostage Negotiation Team, for which I have a book forthcoming from Hamline University Press in 2019.
