Created during my time as Artist-Scholar in Residence with the Atlanta BeltLine, The City is a Circle is a book containing a series of essays and instructions for walks and explorations you can take using the BeltLine as a point of departure, destination or orientation. It is also a series of free and fun public events that will take place from November 2023 to April 2024.
Here’s more info about the public events:
The City is a Circle: a free series of walks, talks and urban adventures on the BeltLine
Running on the second Sunday of each month from November 2023-April 2024
created by Rachel Parish
presented by Art on the Atlanta BeltLine
with support and collaboration from Emory Arts and Social Justice and the Nexus Fund at Atlanta Contemporary
From ancient philosophy to radical noticing walks; from endurance history to foraging and kudzu basket weaving, each event is a unique opportunity to learn and explore with different groups of Atlanta-based artists, thinkers and makers.
